Two TVRs are to enter the Bathurst 24 hours race in Australia. The famous circuit will be holding another endurance race this year and a Cerbera and a Tuscan R will be competing.
CDL Racing will be taking their T400R down under to race. They've recruited New Zealander Carl Hanson to race the car. Hanson raced last weekend at Thruxton in one of CDL's Tuscans. He's got his own Tuscan back home which he's raced very successfully in the domestic GT series.
The surprise entry is from Kozi Kalaitzidis who is preparing a Cerbera for the gruelling marathon. He's raced a Chimaera in the Sepang 12 hour race before (see right) and has an affinity for TVRs. The Cerbera to be raced is just a year old and has been fitted with an enduro specification 400bhp Rover V8. FIA V8 spec, centre locking hubs have been fitted, a Glebe dog 'box, Penski shocks and 330mm/290mm, 4 pot brakes.
Kalaitzidis is looking for a couple of drivers - preferably Tuscan/GT racers - to enter. It will literally turn up and drive (you will be collected/returned to the airport!). Price? £12K each plus a £2K crash fund.
