The RS2000 is an iconic classic sports car, the last model to be built at Ford's legendary Advanced Vehicle Operations Plant. Based on the same strengthened Type 49 monocoque bodyshell as its predecessors, the newcomer's performance is comparable to that of the complex RS1600, offering improved reliability and ease of maintenance. The RS2000 was powered by the 1993cc SOHC four-cylinder 'Pinto' engine, producing 100bhp. This extensively restored example has been fitted with wide steel arches from new by Broadspeed Engineering Ltd and is in a distinctive color combination.
