Mercedes SL (R230) SL 500 2002

The time has come to sell my 2002 Mercedes R230 SL500. Coupe Convertible.

This car has 1 owner from now, and is on only 62000 miles. It has an MOT until January 2025, which it passed with no advisories

It has been maintained well over the years, including the following:

-ABC Pump replacement with the later level fluid and filter

-Seat occupancy sensor

-Front balljoints

-New Starter battery

Recently, this car had the follwoing changed.

•PSE Pump replacement from Merctronix

•New ABC Pulsation damper from Mercedes

•New Battery Control Module (aka BCM) with fused connections from The SL Guys (Brian Wallace DCM replacement), with the corresponding access panel

•New rear AGM consumer battery

•Recent B1 service, using the correct Mercedes graded fully synthetic oil, with the next service not due for another 9500 miles

-New HID headlight bulbs

As a result, it works and drives well. This car was bought new in November 2002 by the original owner where it was dry stored for a number of years. It also has been driven to Spain a number of times over the years, and over there for a short period until it was brought back in 2022.

This is in a lovely and unusual colour of Jasper Blue with grey leather.

The exterior is in great overall condition, with a couple of minor chips and blemishes which are commensurate with the car’s age

The interior is in great condition, with the woodwork being superb, and the seats and steering looking to have exhibited little wear. It even still smells of leather inside!

This car has a number of acoutrements, including Electric Windows, Mirrors, HIDs, auto lights and clmate control, remote central locking, Command Nav package, heated and memory seats, in addition to the convertible roof, which is working well.

The central locking works well, including the tailgate.

The car is on 19” wheels, all shod with Mercedes M0 specification Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres all round with lots of tread . A couple of the wheels have minor imperfections, but overall, presents well.

Given that this car has low owners and miles, with a number of key areas seen to, this will make for a great future classic for someone.
