2005 Ferrari

Designed by Lorenzo Ramciotti of Pininfarina S.p.A. as a replacement for the outgoing 550 Maranello, the 575M (the model number refers to total engine displacement in litres, whilst the 'M' is an abbreviation of “modificato”) featured several subtle styling changes and technically enhanced, performance updates. These included -

- a renewed interior

- bigger brake discs

- a larger and more powerful engine

- revised weight distribution

- refined aerodynamics

- fluid-dynamic, adaptive suspension (where the four independent corners of the car are controlled by the gearbox, to minimize pitch throughout the 200-milliseconds shift-time)

- two, six-speed transmissions were available; a conventional manual gearbox and, for the first time on a Ferrari V12, Magneti Marelli's semi-automatic (Electrohydraulic manual) 'F1' gearbox.

A total of 2,056 575 Maranello's (including 559 Superamerica variants) were delivered to global markets between 2002 and 2006. Of these, less than one hundred chassis are recorded as being fitted with the complete HGTC-pack.

#ZFFBT55B000141262 was delivered new to the Swiss market, via main dealer Garage Foitek AG, Zurich, on April 1st 2005, for HP Stutz Esq of Uitikon Waldegg. Ordered in left-hand-drive, with a rosso corsa exterior, complemented by a nero leather interior and roll cage, and nero carpeting; the full HGTC-pack was also specified;

- Brembo manufactured, carbon fibre-reinforced, silicon carbide, composite, ceramic brake system (15.7 in discs with six-piston calipers in front and 14.2 in discs with four-piston calipers in the rear)

- enhanced performance-tuned suspension

- red brake calipers

- OMP- supplied, Ferrari-crested race harnesses, accompanied by conventional seat-belts

- “Large” size, carbon-fibre “backed”, sports seats
