I stand to be corrected, but while it may not be 'correct', I don't think it's wrong either, IYSWIM?
Maybe it would be better rewritten altogether? hehe

If ever there are moves to get rid of the apostrophe, which I think I can use correctly, can we also get rid of whom, which I've always had trouble with?
Nooooooo.

I always fine myself correcting people (in my mind) when I hear them say "with who" instead of "with whom." It just sounds so wrong.

'The offenders had a verbal altercation' is a tautology which crops up often with officers and incenses me.
There's an online Photoshop training guru who often speaks of seeing things visually. It really winds me up.

And "were."

"As it were," for example.

Why isn't that, "as it was"?

Not following this one. What does it have to do with inappropriate use of apostrophes?
