Just got back from there (as you will know, Mr K) hehe

Crowd was 10.053, their second highest of the season after the Wrexham home game however that was also swelled by 1,630 from Crawley. Apparently, they didn't sell tickets on the day today for some reason. The stand I was in (where the cameras are housed) was completely empty and the visiting fans were split in two and put in the top tier behind one goal where there was no fans below them.

They were booed off the pitch at both HT and FT too.

Well that was utter dogst. We saved our absolute worst performance for the most important game of the year. Hats off to Des Buckingham getting his tactics absolutely spot on. Ian Evatt proved he's not the League 1 Guardiola he aspires to be - more like a pound shop Southgate, not a clue what to do when the opposition nullify your only plan. Sky commentator was right when he said the Oxford keeper could have watched from the stands and still kept a clean sheet. Time for a change.

Disappointed for the wanderers, the playoffs can be cruel, it’s whoever turns up on the day.

I was cheering on Oxford just because our best player of last season (if not the best player in the National League) went to them, 2 assists yesterday. Ruben Rodrigues, 2 promotion final wins 2 years running.

Commiserations Speed3, I honestly thought Bolton would be successful in the play offs. As you say, your team just didn't turn up and that must be very disappointing for all Trotters fans. Well played Oxford of course and we (Pompey) will see them again next season.

To add insult to injury, I think League One will be tougher next season. Birmingham will have a big budget, Barnsley and Peterborough will be strong again, I can see Charlton getting their act together, Reading and Wigan will, I assume, not have points deductions, and Wrexham's owners might decide to splash the cash.

Paging Jordie Barretts sock.

Can I just ask, what is the opinion of Plymouth fans about these Rooney rumours? I mean if it's true, I'd be getting the "Sack The Board" banners ready now.

Morning!

Was watching the local news last night. Your average Janner is unimpressed.

"Woss 'e coming 'ere for? Bleddy useless" being the general opinion. Seems similar on social media according to my son.

There seems to be a fetish for Scousers as Argyle manager. If he's appointed (really hope not) then he'll be the fifth Scouser from our last six managers. There'll be nothing of value left at Home Park soon! laugh

They'll discover the roof of the Mayflower stand has been replaced with painted cardboard soonlaugh

So, it seems like he's coming, and opinion is largely "Oh FFS, please no!"

Terrible manager, God knows why anyone would hire him.

Not a bad part of the country to live and work in though.

I certainly think you'll be in for interesting season. I would be willing to bet he'll be gone by Christmas.

I'd like him gone after 10 games. Depending on results of course.

It's the old story of a good player doesn't necessarily make a good manager. Gerrard for example. And now Rooney.

Plenty of other better options out there I feel.
