M135 renewal came in with a 22% increase (£450ish) Lease ends before the renewal though.

Boxster came in with a 2% decrease a few months ago (£160!).

. I must be in a sweet spot where I live as I've run quotes on a few other addresses nearby (houses I'm looking at to potentially buy) and they range from £900 to well over £1,000!

FYI It has nothing to do with the new address/postcode it is due to all the back ground checks and validation insurers do on you when quoting. As you are not knwon at the new address and youa re not on the elctoral roll many isurerw will increase the premiums a huge percentage, i know1 that used to be 60% load for noot being recognised at the new address.

It has beena very bad couple of years for insurers on 135/140/240/m2 et al and many rates have jumped up this year. Also many insurers now decline and new purchase on these cars...

Ran a few quotes since AutoTrader changed from CompareTheMarket to MoneySuperMarket for instant insurance quotes, all quotes coming back significantly lower than few months ago.

F82 M4, previously quotes £4.5k+, now £1.8k
F80 M3, £1.5K, previously around £2.2k
997 Carrera 4S, £500!

Not sure why seems to be significantly lower, I've checked my details and doesn't look like anything's incorrect.

Had the renewal for my i3 Rex come though today; no changes in my circumstances other than me being a year older! Its gone from £396 to £497 so pretty much a 25% increase (Esure). It could be the most I'm paying for car insurance. Definitely going to be looking elsewhere.

996 C4S went from £390 to £425 @ 10% increase (6k limited mileage)
'Classic' Subaru remains at £280 (6k limited mileage)
GR Yaris, last year was £465 (unlimited mileage). I'm waiting to see what it will be come September when it's due. Regardless of the cost I'll be putting that on limited mileage too

I paid £370 to insure my BMW Z4M last year, renewal has just arrived for £434.99.

But I haven't told them about my non-fault claim in my other car yet!

Fiesta ecoboom renewal has just come through, £250 last year renewal is £337

A quick scout on go compare and I've got it to £255.

Quite impressed really after our X3 jumped 400 quid and I couldn't get it any cheaper.

Will double check the finer details at the weekend to make sure I've not missed anything though before I buy.

My trade insurance jumped from £4,000 to nearly £10,000 this year.

Guess how pleased I am with that?

Given your age, this might be worth reading and noting the graph and where you sit on it statistically.

Some posters here will say that if £10K is the right premium now then you weren’t paying enough before.

Obviously you’ll now be thrilled about all the money you’ve saved over the years. wink

2012 Fiat Panda 4x4 up from £170 to £230
2020 AMG A35 down from £460 to £445
Merc GLE 250 up from £140 to £420

Methinks they made a mistake a few months ago when they added the 250. Online comparison shows at least £450 for it.

Family bus S Max - last year £320 with admiral. Renewal this year quoted as £390.

Used Confused and moved to Tesco for £270, same excess and benefits etc.

I’ve been on and off with admiral for years. They always take the Michael at renewal normally resolved with a phone call, but at £120 less I didn’t even give them the courtesy to try and match it.

As a keen lurker on this thread I was rather nervous about my renewal coming in.

E46 M3 Convertible, full no claims, no accidents/claims/convictions/20+ yrs protected NCB, 51yo driver + spouse.

No changes to risk over the year other than the car and both drivers being a year older.

Last year: £276.27
This year: £277.95

I pay it monthly, it's gone up 14p a month!!

I'll probably renew, but might shop around.

Wheels, Carbon splitter, X-Pipe, K&N filters, Carbon Dash. Nothing extreme
That's too many and possibly too specific
Plenty of insurers will cover non standard exhaust and non standard air filter.
The rest sound like options which a lot of people wouldn't declare, or possibly even know about. Since you have already quoted with them declared you have lost the ability to say I had no idea they weren't original.
Well Admiral sent through the renewal quote (phew) Last year was 540, this year 496 with all mods declared. Happy with that ! beer

Well, I did all the various online stuff on the i3. Prices ranged from just under £400 (Compare the Market & Go Compare), £650 (Admiral) and £765 (LV). Went back to E-Sure who came back with an amended quote of £355 which is a decrease of @15% on last year and well over 30% on their renewal price. So I'll be staying with them for another year

Just got my renewal through for next month.

23% increase.

Two cars on a group policy. £522 up to £641.

Still not too bad. I must be old and boring to the stats people...

Gone for £496 to £675 - exactly same car/mods/details/mileage etc etc etc... 23 years driving, no claims/points, full NCB etc

Couldn't get better than them; tried the usual suspects on comparison sites (£1300 + )

AF wanted close to £900

Direct Line/Admiral and a few others wouldn't even quote

Howdens (used to be A Plan) even stated that they don't like insuring diesels, more so modified ones (I've literally fitted Bilstein shocks, Eibach springs and a stud conversion kit) the rest is OEM BMW M Sport. They stated if my car was petrol they'd have had no issues quoting..!

The markets gone mental!

The wife's Racing Jazz (ie. can't pull skin off of a rice puddin') 1.4 auto; does 4k miles a year if lucky no mods whatsoever (24 years driving, full NCB, never any claims, certified advanced driver etc) was paying £180 fully comp, now £375; no where could do any cheaper!

It's stupid...
