I know, another 996. My fourth in fact. Plan is this one will stick around for a while though. It's the one I've been waiting for, finally got my factory LSD, in a black car, with the Gt3 comfort sports seat option. It does come as a package with M030 suspension that wasn't my preference, but the lightness of the early Gen 1 seems maybe to make it less 'jiggly' than I remember from the later 3.6 car I drove with it. This car I bought with the benefit of all my past ownership knowledge. Mechanically this is one very well sorted example. It bursts into life without even cranking. Every arm, bush and joint of the suspension has been replaced in the last 8k miles including a set of new Bilstein dampers. The aircon pump, rads, pipes all new. If you own a 996 and it's still on 20+ years old suspension. You owe it to yourself and the car to feel how it drove new. It eats bends like a dog eats treats, you don't even see where it went and it's always alert, eagerly waiting for more. The body is ok, pretty tidy, but the interior really lets the car down at the minute. So that's my first project to get sorted.
