Overview

The Range Rover Sport SVR is what happens when you combine the 5.0-litre supercharged V8 from the Jaguar F-Type with Land Rover's legendary Range Rover SUV. But then to call the Range Rover Sport an SUV is to do it a bit of a disservice in our humble opinion. Far more broadly capable than the usual collection of “Sports Utility Vehicles”, not least in part to its hallowed past as an incredibly accomplished 4X4, as well as its later status as a luxury crossover, the Range Rover Sport SVR is definitely more than the sum of its already impressive parts.

Introduced in 2013, the L494 Range Rover Sport is a seriously capable and versatile car. In SVR form it offers blistering performance combined with a truly first-rate ride quality and level of luxury rarely bettered in the sector. This particular Range Rover Sport is a post-facelift, second-gen 2019 SVR model, which means a 567bhp version of that esteemed V8 capable of propelling the car to 60mph from parked in just 4.3 seconds before topping out at just under 180mph.

The SVR deservedly sold well which means that there are plenty to choose from but this particular example stands out from the crowd by virtue of its Urban styling pack which combines carbon fibre front and rear bumpers with distinctive wheels and a carbon fibre bonnet and grille to subtle and menacing effect. Kit-wise, it’s fully loaded from the factory and it’s beautifully presented.

So this Range Rover Sport SVR certainly looks the part but it's also backed up by an impeccable service record having been looked after by official Land Rover dealers from new. A truly standout example that blends luxury, performance and street presence in all the right quantities, wouldn’t it look great on your drive?

Summary

This is what happens when Land Rover takes the already gifted Range Rover Sport and throws everything it has at it and then a high end aftermarket outfit adds its own visual signature. Prodigious performance? Check. Fully loaded luxury interior? Check. Boundless street cred? Check. And yet still capable off-road? Check.
