Overview

Henrik Fisker's V8 Vantage arrived in 2005 and immediately redrew the lines of what an Aston Martin could be. Smaller, sharper, and unmistakably athletic, it brought Gaydon's craftsmanship to a footprint that felt alive on a B-road. The 4.3-litre quad-cam V8, producing 380 bhp and 302 lb ft, was mounted behind the front axle in a bonded aluminium chassis, and the result was a car with balance, poise, and a soundtrack that could raise hairs at idle. Mated to a six-speed manual gearbox, it delivered the kind of mechanical connection that often feels lacking in new cars.

This 2007 example in blue metallic has clearly been owned by people who understood the brief. The first keeper ran it for three years, the second held it for 14 years, and the current owner has spent the last 18 months doing exactly what Aston intended. That includes a two-month, 7,000-mile tour across Europe, the sort of trip that separates cars people admire from cars people actually live with. At 53,516 miles, it's covered proper ground without ever being neglected.

The service book tells a reassuring story. Eight stamps from Stratstone main dealers cover the early years, followed by three services at Aston Workshop in Beamish, a well-regarded independent specialist. The current owner has also clearly invested in keeping this Vantage at its best.

And here's the good news: it presents extremely well for its mileage. The blue metallic paintwork still carries a deep gloss, the dark interior shows minimal wear, and the mechanical side is reported to be faultless. Three keys, a clean HPI, and a fresh advisory-free MOT complete the picture. This is a V8 Vantage that's been properly loved and is ready for a new keeper to enjoy.
