1991 Mazda

1991 mk1 1.6 Eunos in Stone Silver with black leather seats and 15” Enkei alloy wheels. Its covered around 132000 miles and is in very good condition indeed.

Bodywork: its all good with solid sills and wheel arches and no rust and no dents or body damage. There is the odd stone chip or light scratch here and there but its in better than average condition. Its had sills repairs in the past and these have clearly been carried out to a high standard. Its good underneath too with good solid floors, sills, chassis rails etc. All suspension components are nice and clean too.

Specification includes electric windows, power steering, stainless steel sill tread plates, chrome door mirrors and a rear spoiler. The air conditioning has been removed (I’m guessing it didn’t work and the weight saving is handy). It has a few minor modifications, a stainless steel twin exit exhaust system and a modified air intake. Last year, it had a top end engine rebuild including new head gasket and water pump and the ignition timing mod was carried out. It pulls really strongly, even from low speed in fifth gear but still feels equally happy at higher motorway speeds. A new clutch was fitted in 2019 too.

Inside it has black leather seats which are in good condition. The interior is in nice clean condition with good carpets and mats, smart door cards and an undamaged dashboard. Stereo comes with the car but needs fitting. The soft top currently fitted is a black mohair but its in quite worn condition. It has a chrome style bar fitted along with Mk2 wind blocker and has its original tonneau cover.

Its just excellent to drive and handles well too. It has standard shock absorbers but these have been fitted with slightly shorter Tein springs and this combination works really well with a surprisingly comfortable ride quality. This kind of set up can often be too hard but this is just great and makes the car so much more useable. Its also been fitted with the bigger brake discs and pads from a 1.8; all discs and pads are new.

Its just been serviced with new oil, filters and spark plugs and its MOT tested until September 2021.
