TOYOTA COROLLA AE-86

If you are too old, or too young, to know about ‘Initial D’, allow me to explain: Initial D was a hugely successful manga and amine Japanese comic book and video series .

Initial D is a Cinderella story, centered on Takumi Fujiwara, whose driving and drifting skills in his AE86 made the car the star of the show.

Since then, the AE86 has become one of the most sought-after and desirable JDM cars. Original, unmodified and un-raced (read: abused by young, unskilled drivers to try to emulate Takumi Fujiwara’s drifting) are almost impossible to find.

This Toyota Corolla AE86 was first registered in Japan on 24th January 1984. Having spent the first 30 years of its life in Japan, it was then bought by a wealthy Singaporean collector in April 2011, moved to his home in June 2013 and stored in his underground garage.

He hardly used it – other than to have the ‘camouflage’ paint scheme done. The body shell in rust-free condition and the paint (not a wrap) is excellent. But not to everyone’s taste, we agree. So the car can be supplied repainted in its original, early 80’s pale yellow, at extra cost, if required.

The interior is completely original, with little or no wear. The odometer is showing 55,050km which, judging by the overall condition of the car, we believe to be genuine.

Imported from Singapore in August 2020 by us; professionally stored since then; UK registered; taxes paid; fully serviced (with new cambelt) and ready to go. It will be supplied with a new MOT.

This AE86 is an incredibly rare car and represents a unique opportunity to own a piece of JDM history.
