Porsche 356

From the time that Porsche returned from Austria to Germany in 1950, most of their bodies had been built by Reutter, with who they had had a long relationship. In the 1960s, however, Karmann, better known as a supplier to Volkswagen, built a number of coupe styles. This is where the 356B comes in to play... a coupe version of the beloved 356 which accentuates the curvaceous body even more than the convertible variant.The car was produced in June 1963 and was sold by Porsche Dealership Competition Motors, Culver City, Los Angeles California. This is documented on the cars Certificate of Authenticity from Porsche. Since being imported into the UK in November 2014 the car has been looked after by four keepers. In 2015 the car underwent a ‘light’ restoration by renowned specialist Tuthill Porsche which included bodywork restoration work to bring it to the incredible standards you see today. There is an invoice in the history file for this which comes to £20,274,81. The previous owner who we purchased the vehicle from had the car looked after at our Porsche Dealership’s in Tewkesbury and Swindon. During 2020 the car underwent a mechanical overhaul with bills totalling in excess of £35,000 at Porsche Swindon which included a full engine rebuild. This is backed up with a Porsche USB stick which has a photo diary to document the work carried out. The car has had it’s running in service carried out since the rebuild at 32,226 miles and has covered little miles since.
