This example is one of the few saloons built in the final months of production before the model was superseded later that summer. A testament to its former owners (7 in total) who have cared and enjoyed this sensational 3.5 over the past 50 years which can only be reflected in the car standing here today. The last two owners of the car had undertaken significant works to the car which total the value of the vehicle today. In 2020 the car went to Mercedes-Benz Brooklands which is parallel to the car going back to Stuttgart and then to a Ferrari specialist. It was during this ownership that the 3.5 coachwork was stripped back from its original colour of 457H and changed to Metallic Silver – this was no small exercise; the engine was removed along with all ancillaries. All bright work was sent away for chroming, doors – bonnet & boot lid and finally both front and rear windscreens. Not only did the coachwork under go works, the wood set was removed and sent away to be re-veneered in Black Piano, this fitted against the trim looks sensational. Steel road wheels where refurbished and new Michelin tyres were fitted, the Becker cassette was replaced with its grandson retro style Becker Mexico with Bluetooth & DAB and new speakers. New filters, drive belts, door seals, fan belt, boot seal, brake lines, wheel bearing kit, voltage regulator kit, lower and upper swivel kit were also a few of the items that were gained. The work was carried out by one of our dearest of friends and also one of the companys most import clients who is very meticulous – which is reflected by the above expenditure. On file we have invoices from 1975 to its most recent works in 2021, in addition to this we have the original owner driver book pack plus factory issued service booklet with data card – stamped by Rose & Young Limited. To find a genuine UK delivered example is a rarity within itself let alone one with only 45,727 miles which equates to just 914 miles per year.
