With just 4 owners recorded and 48,000 genuine miles since new this is a very special find. Finished in rare Salmon Pink (Signal Red 80) and contrasted by the black vinyl roof and full chocolate brown fishnet interior. Set off by the correct refurbished 4 spoke RS alloys which are wrapped with new Pirelli CN36 tyres (including the spare).

Collectors and enthusiasts will be glad to know that it is an unrestored example and has never been welded in its time and it does not need any now. In recent years it has had a full professional repaint in it’s original colour. All the factory panels including the Ford stamped front wings and top mounts are present and in splendid order. The panel gaps are spot on and are as they were from factory.

This RS has been looked after particularly. The current owner and previous always made sure that she was kept out of the weather and dry stored properly. We are led to believe this example spent 19 years of its life in a Vauxhall main dealer showroom which has obviously helped its preservation.

He assures us he has only filled it with Esso’s finest synergy fuel (less ethanol) and it has run like a dream over in his ownership. He had the glass sunroof removed (which he wasn’t a fan of) and replaced it with a fully restored full length webasto roof. The entire vinyl roof was replaced along with the the interior headlining and was done using the correct materials, keeping it true to it’s original build.

In addition, the 4-speed gearbox was replaced with a reconditioned 2.8 injection Capri type-9 5-speed box which retains the normal RS gear ratios plus fifth. This makes it a joy to drive long distance and with the additional gear it cruises beautifully and comfortably at motorway speeds. You will notice the standard 4-speed gear knob is still present, which is a nice touch from the owner.

Also fitted is a new luminition electronic ignition system, new battery, new exhaust, rear diff seal

We could wax lyrical about the quality of this RS2000 until the cows come home, but don’t take our word for it, look at the pictures and then come a view the car. We promise you won’t be disappointed.
