Mazda MX5 2.0 Sport

One lady owner from new until 149k miles, who gave it a full Mazda main dealer service history. I've had the car since Dec 2019, since when it's only been used on sunny weekends and on 4 track days (less than intended thanks to COVID). The car isn't perfect, but is far better than you'd expect for the mileage. Would perfectly suit someone looking for a weekend toy that will do the occasional track day & still play the role of dad/mum taxi service.

In my ownership:

- I bought it with the engine knocking and gave it a full bottom end rebuild. The engine is completely standard spec.

- The underside was also fully undersealed at the same time.

- Replaced the well worn standard suspension with gaz gold (adjustable damping & ride height) coilovers. Geometry was last done ~9 months ago.

- Replaced the standard drivers seat that was torn at the seams & had well worn side bolsters with the cobra monaco pictured. It's mounted to a fixed cybul frame.

- Roddison's brake pads on OEM discs. Pads last changed ~9 months ago, fluid changed ~4 months ago (Mobil dot 5.1). Have never experienced fade & they don't squeal on the road.

- Michelin PS4's all around, ~1yr old with plenty of tread (>6mm).

Last serviced & MOT'd in November.

There are two problems I'm aware of:

- Rust starting in the drivers side rear wheel arch (pictured). The same thing but to a much smaller degree is also starting in the passenger rear wheel arch.

- Rattling lifters on cold starts as per the many threads in forums (Google 'Miata cold start rattle' for a thread on the miata forum). I've never seen the need to fix it.

Price reflects these issues & mileage, so please don't expect to negotiate down because of them. Selling as have an offer I can't refuse on an elise - I intended to keep this mx5 for years.
