2002 Porsche

This is a superb example of a 6 speed manual 2002 996 C4S that has had significant investment over the last 2 years taking care of all the usual 996 issues that crop up over the 20 years on the road. Please take a look through the thorough OPC and specialist service history, as well as the £22k plus i have spent on the car in the last 2 years meaning peace of mind for the next owner. This really is a car that has had the majority of the usual 996 work carried out on it over the last 2 years, has been garaged for the last 12 years and is well cared for. Please note the current Reg is a private plate and the original will come with the car (RF52 RFB).

The car is Basalt Black with black leather and a sunroof. The bodywork is excellent and was ceramic coated when i purchased it in early 2021. There are a few stone chips and the odd light scratch on the bodywork (it is 20 yrs old) but overall the bodywork is very good. The interior is also very good with little sign of wear to the seats.

The car was bought new on 16/11/02. I have the original Lancaster Porsche (London) invoice totaling £72k. Options specified were XLF Porsche Sports Exhaust (PSE), XMA Leather roofliner, XMP leather sun visors, XPA leather steering wheel airbag cover, XSC Porsche crest in the headrests, X2D leather internal light surround, XX1 floor mats (original), X70 stainless door entry guards, X97 gear lever aluminum inlay, X98 handbrake aluminum inlay, 265 anti-dazzle rear view mirror, 266 anti-dazzle door mirrors, 288 headlamp washer (for liptronic lights), 342 heated front seat, sunroof, liptronic headlights

The car has been serviced annually/bi-annually as per the service schedule since new. The first 9 years show 7 services by 4 owners and servicing was at official Porsche dealers, the next owner bought the car from Porsche Bolton in 2010 and owned for 11 years with an annual service at Porsche specialist 9Apart. The car was then serviced by specialist Porschtek when i bought the car in 2021.

I am fortunate to live near well known Porsche specialist Autofarm who have looked after the car since i purchased it. I have spent a documented £22k plus on the car in the last 2 years bringing it right up to date. I have listed the main work below however the entire works are documented in a hefty file of service history and work completed over the years.

July/August 2021: £17,500 spent

1. Full air conditioning overall including condensers, intake pipe, compressor (engine out)

2. Whilst the engine was out Autofarm replaced the IMS bearing (Vertex) and rear main seal

3. New clutch to replace the original whilst IMS done

4. New steering rack and lines (original leaking),

5. New brake lines, poly belt and idlers

6. New ignition coils and spark plugs

7. Suspension works included 4 new shocks & dampers, top mounts, bump stops, anti-roll drop links, bushes

8. 4 wheels refurbished to original colour

March 2023: £4,000 spent

1. Service

2. Both original radiators replaced

3. Fuel cap seal

4. Oil pressure sender unit

5. Drivers door lock module

6. Liptronic headlight washer jet nozzles replaced

7. High and low tone horns replaced

8. New Brembo brake discs and pads all round

Points to note for future attention: The car will need new tyres in the next 12 months or so, mainly because the Potenza's fitted are from 2017 so would benefit from a fresh pair of boots. The original exhaust silencers are also cracking along the seam as they all do at some stage and will need attention in the next 2 years or so.

Any inspection is welcome although the car has just been through the Autofarm service (March) and as such has had their usual health check with all items covered above.

The has an MOT until 01/08/23. The last MOT had an advisory on a broken brake pipe clip which was remedied at Autofarm so no issues to report.
