Lotus Elise RGB (SC 217 bhp)

Could I tempt you with this Supercharged Lotus Elise, Roger Becker Edition (RGB), in Aspen White?

KX60FXG was meant to be my forever Lotus, the last one I’d ever buy, but upcoming nuptials as well as an increasingly bad back means I can no longer be her keeper.

The RGB is arguably the best of the Elise models. Not only does it come ‘fully loaded’ with both the sports and touring packs (including; A/C, TC, leather trim, noise insulation, etc), it also has the rev-happiness of the Toyota 2ZZ engine as well as the stunning front end of the Elise S3. Note Roger Becker’s signature on the B-pillar, as well as the numbered plaque on the sill – this is number 26 of the total 25ish sold in the UK (only 14 in white). The only mechanical modification to this car is Nitron Street Series suspension having replaced the original Lotus set. I’ve just replaced the exhaust with a new original one, as it would have come with from Lotus.

Originally purchased from Will Blackham in August 2020, she came with an inch thick stack of service history and during my ownership I’ve only added to that.

I’ve done QOL upgrades like replacing the HVAC controls so they now light up (such a difference in the dark, no more guessing), adding a baffled sump, new battery and a complete soft top refurb. I also installed a new stereo (the SPH10BT) and all 4 speakers with Focal 100/130s – you can properly enjoy your music now at motorway speeds! The Yoko AD08RS’s still have plenty of life left in them.

In August 2021 I replaced the whole engine at Back on Track including a new lightweight flywheel and clutch. She just wasn’t running right and planning for the long term, I felt the investment worth the while. The new engine is on about 27.7k miles, with the rest of the car on 68.5k miles.

Her last service was in August 22 and she’s done about 800 miles since then (including an AC regas), with the next service due at the same time this year.

Included in the sale is the Specialised Out Door cover that she lives under, as well as the battery conditioner she’s always connected to.

No PX, sorry, unless it’s a ‘destination wedding’ with all the bells and whistles.
