TVR CHIMAERA 450 1997 - £13.5K restoration!

Lowest price Chimaera 450 in the country with over £13.5k spent on rolling restoration in the last 2 years. Unfortunately I need to sell it soon as I have another car ordered and need the space!

My TVR is the rare 450 spec (not to be confused with the more common 4 litre) with the strongest of the 3 engines that was offered on the TVR Chimaera – the cross bolted 4.5 litre engine which makes approx. 285 bhp.

As the car only weighs approx. 1,000 kg it is very quick with 0-60 in approx. 4.8 seconds and 160 mph top speed.

The car has had 5 owners and completed 86500 miles, but with only 4000 miles since the engine rebuild.

The car is in perfect mechanical condition, the chassis is also like new with outrigger replacement and full anti corrosion treatment completed this year.

The car has had an extensive restoration including over £13k in spent in the last 2 years with all work completed by local TVR specialists as follows:

-Full top end rebuild including new camshaft.

-New Immobiliser and remote boot release

-"Battery Brain" remote battery immobiliser fitted.

-4 x new Uniroyal Rainsport 4 tyres.

-New Gaz Monotube Coil Over Suspension

-Ferodo DS2500 brakes

-New engine Heat Shielding

-New Ethanol resistant fuel Lines

-New 500 spec Clutch, with new Master and Slave Cylinder.

-New Chassis Outriggers.

I have a total record of the works completed including all receipts for the above work. The car also has it’s original handbook.

The only negatives about the car are some stone chips on the wheel arch and bonnet and some cracks to the bonnet.
