1963 CHEVROLET GMC CORVETTE

Oakmere are delighted to offer this sensational 1963 Corvette Convertible for sale from our Cheshire showroom.

The second generation Corvette, widely know as the C2 was introduced for the 1963 and ran until 1967.

This was the first year that Chevrolets sportscar featured independent suspension all round and the first time in the Corvettes history that wind tunnel technology influenced the cars final design, arguably the most stylish generation of Corvette produced.

Manufactured at the Chevrolets St Louis plant in June 1964 and finished in Riverside Red with black upholstery and originally fitted with Chevrolets 327 V8 although at some point in its life an upgraded 350 (5.7L) V8 with high performance cam has been installed.

Imported to the UK in 2009, the car underwent a comprehensive body off frame restoration with late Corvette C2 expert Bob Malcolm.

More recently, during 2019 the car was upgraded to disc brakes all round along with uprated suspension, new period American Racing Torque Thrust alloy wheels and new white line tyres.

A new reproduction black interior has been fitted to complement the gleaming repaint in the original shade of Riverside Red.

Fitted with the desirable 4 speed manual transmission and presented is exceptional condition inside, outside and underneath, this beautiful example of the iconic American sports car will be supplied fully inspected and serviced prior to sale.
