First registered August 1991 this beautiful 1991 Porsche 964 Tiptronic Cabriolet is finished in fabulous Cobalt Blue Metallic with Metropole Blue Hood, (with matching Metropole Blue Tonneau Cover) and Blue Piped Linen Hide plus 17 Inch Twist Alloys. Importantly, it drives just as well as it looks and also features; retractable rear spoiler, on board computer, electric windows and electric mirrors. Known internally as the 964, Porsche's new generation 911 debuted in 1989 and was available in two (Carrera 2) and four-wheel drive (Carrera 4) guises with its familiar silhouette and was the first 911 to be offered with Porsche's Tiptronic gearbox and coil spring suspension. Boasting a drag coefficient of just 0.32 thanks to its deeper bumpers, smoother sills and flatter floor-pan, high-speed stability was maintained by a self-deploying rear spoiler which rose above 48mph. Powered by an extensively reworked 3.6 litre air-cooled flat-six equipped with twin spark plugs per cylinder and a re-mapped Bosch Motronic fuel injection, the 964 claimed an impressive 250bhp and 229lbft of torque. reputed to be capable of 0-60mph in 5.3 seconds with a top speed of over 160mph. This example has a good service history showing that maintenance has been performed by Porsche or Porsche specialists. This includes having the piston rings and top end overhaul at 66,790 miles and the gearbox overhauled in 2005 at 90,200 miles It is supplied with a V5C registration document and a file containing invoices and old MoT test certificates.
