In 2023, we raise our glasses and tip our racing helmets to Caterham Cars as it celebrates an illustrious half-century of automotive excellence. Caterham's story begins with the legendary Lotus Seven. The founder of Caterham, Graham Nearn, acquired the rights to build and sell the Lotus Seven in the early 1960s from Colin Chapman. This move laid the foundation for Caterham Cars Limited, which was officially established in 1973. Since its inception, through the onward evolution of the Seven and a relentless pursuit of driving thrills, Caterham has captivated the hearts of motoring enthusiasts worldwide.

Some cars just aren’t afraid of any road that comes into view. The Seven 420 is one of those cars.

A 210bhp wielding gladiator ready to take on any stretch of tarmac one-on-one, the Seven 420 delivers huge dollops of torque, backed up by a high-revving, dry-sumped engine that makes it a wild, but intensely visceral ride.
