1981 RELIANT SCIMITAR

For sale a 1981 Scimitar GTC Automatic fitted with the trusty Ford Cologne engine, 2792cc. Presently showing 7605 miles, obviously I would conclude a unit change during its life. This vehicle has been the subject of a body off restoration during which, engine and auto gearbox were refurbished, brake/fuel pipes were replaced together with PAS plumbing. Then treated to a complete respray in brilliant red. I purchased the car 18 months ago and started the re-commissioning. As with most Scimitars the wiring was a challenge resulting in rewiring the heater/ headlight supplies to fit the new light assemblies. The list of new parts fitted, which never seemed to end, is available to any prospective purchasers. Electronic ignition is fitted, replacing the Motorcraft system. Interior was treated to new carpets but I have to say not of the quality I expected for the price! New inertial seat belts fitted; rear lap belts available. Seats are velour covered but do have signs of wear around the seat buttons. Interior can best be described as tidy. New 205/70Rx14 tyres fitted to the Wolfrace wheels. The soft top is good with only one area which would require attention. A new heated windscreen has recently been fitted but not connected. The number plate is desirable and could be sold with the vehicle if price is agreed. The result is a nice sorted GTC, still being run in.
