GBS Zero

Gen 2 model in Nissan Magnetic Blue.

Built during '23 / '24 and IVA-tested by the factory in Nov 2024.

Registered Dec 2024.

Currently on approx 500 miles only.

Built with alot of care and attention to detail with the colour being a current Nissan Magnetic Blue.

2.5l Ford Duratec 4-cyl enginer (NEW / Crate enginer)

GBS 45mm ITB, 440ml injectors

Lightweight race alternator (Denso 40A)

Lightweight battery

Running off a new Emerald K6+ ECU on a Narrow Band O2 sensor (Wide-band sensor is installed, to be set up during future rolling road session).

Transmission:

Reconditioned MX5 NC 5sp

Lightweight flywheel

Stage2 clutch

GBS ATR clutch slave cylinder

Factory-modified prop-shaft and drive-shafts.

New MX5 master cylinder.

Suspension:

Factory-supplied upgraded ATR coil-overs (spec'd in black). Adjustable.

All-round double wishbone suspension

Factory nylon bushes.

Upgraded read concentric bualuminium bushes (allows adjustment of rear camber)

Brakes:

New front Wilwood fourr-pot vented front setup.

New Std MX5 NB rear claipers / discs.

Braded hoses all-round.

Electrics:

New factory harness

New ETB electronic guage set (logo is GBS)

All-round LED lights - Front halo head lights, modern rear LED lighting clusters (now recently introduced by the factory). All-round strobe-style indicators. Subtle LED repeater indicaters mounted on the front wheel arches. Cool LED front splitter front daytime running light to compliment the halo rings and give the car that cheeky face.

Interior:

Factory upgraded 2-stage heated bucket seats in black with black stitching

Factory four-point harness with embridered GBS logos.

The interior design is bespoke and utilises the identical material for the transmission tunnal as in the seats (sources direct from the OEM seat supplier fro consistency), trimmed by my local experts, The Dub Hut to my spec. Includes bespoke 'gadget shelfs for both driver and passenger, plus a USB charge point (passenger side) for the all important phone ;)

Factory carpets throughout (including the boot!)

Throughout the two year build, the aim was to spec the car carefully for long-term reliability, simplicity and racer-on-the-road classy itiration of the Lotus7.

The colour scheme of bright blue / black is modern and bright.

Paintwork is finished by my local Pluckley Coachworks(check his website gallary to sample the standard of finish and quality of cars that the owners entrust with him)

Bespoke elements of the car include the upgraded bodywork by Bathos Sports Cars to my spec (Front wheel arches, unique front splitter and surrounding interior edge-trim) complimenting the modern take on the classic car.

The engine is currently tuned by BD Engineering in north kent to run with smooth throttle only when the car is bedding in. In its current base tune, the thing is a weapon at an estimated (only) 600kg. Imagine when the engine is tuned to the 6000rpm readline and estimated 200 bhp. Potential for mid-3second 0-60 ? ;)

I have used almost exclusively new components, drawn on experience to supprt the build and where 'New' is not cost-effectine, had fully reconditioned parts (Gearbox and LSD).

The car will come with a full portfolio of in-build images, electrical diagrams and component instruction documents.

Reason for selliing? I have build the car that I have always dreampt of, and now that I am there, I can't see that I'll use its potential (either quality of driving or time to use it), so I'd rather allow an enthusiast to benefit.
