2004 Jaguar XJR Supercharged

For sale is my 2004 XJR 4.2 Supercharged which I've owned for just over 4 years. Only selling because I also have a vintage Mk11 and can only justify running one large capacity car. This has been a great vehicle to own and drive and I regret having to sell it. The reputation for these cars' awesome power and road holding combined with comfort and style is well deserved.

Probably one of the better examples of this model for the age, it's not concourse but is in better condition than most of the other XJRs I see around.

It has just been thoroughly serviced and MOTd until April 2026. No work required except for new track rod ends and wheel alignment. It also had a new bonnet release cable fitted as the original felt like it was on the way out.

HISTORY

• As a precautionary measure engine replaced in March 2024 with reconditioned engine taken from an identical donor car which I purchased privately. This was driven and evaluated for over four months and proved to be better than the original

• All engine replacement work was carried out by a reputable engineer/mechanic at a

cost of 0ver £3,500 which included new front suspension components and other

precautionary work. (all receipts available)

• Replacement engine has performed faultlessly since fitted.

• Engine air intake to Supercharger is an after-market item made by Caldoofy. This improves the air-flow significantly as well as sounding much better than factory equipment. (OE intake is available if required)

• Air filter has been replaced with Performance K&N unit

• The whole exhaust is a 'Cat-Back', stainless steel item made by British performance exhaust specialists Quicksilver. It added a significant boost to mid range power and delivers an authentic V8 exhaust note. (It's not excessively loud, just deep and throaty).

EXTERIOR CONDITION

• Paint is a metallic black

• Aluminium bodywork is in extremely good condition for age

• A few minor blemishes but no visible dents or damage

• A bit of wear as you would expect with 20 years use

• No chassis or underneath structural issues

• Chrome work and peripherals all good.

• Wheels are the top of the range split-rim Seepangs with a genuine spare

• There is a tiny bit of curbing damage but hardly noticeable

INTERIOR CONDITION

• Interior is cream leather with walnut dash and trim

• Very good with no major issues

• All dashboard lights, electric windows, heated seats etc. work

• Cream leather in very good condition. A bit of wear on driver’s seat side

• All black carpets in great condition with no wear

• All walnut features in perfect condition

• Custom made walnut gear change knob.

MINOR ISSUES

• The wing mirrors have never folded closed when in park mode. The switches and motors to move the mirrors for adjustment all work fine but for some reason they don’t fold in when parked.

• The rear sun-shade behind the passenger seats is not operational. Apparently this is a very common problem and the cost of rectifying is just not worth it.
