Description
Background
Lombardi, Vercelli based coachbuilder took the humble 500, added a fresh nose with recessed headlights and Zamsk grille, steel roof, which incorporated two longitudinal ribs and a small rear spoiler and a few 'luxury' fittings to the interior including covered dashboard with wood trim, a wood rimmed steering wheel and gear lever knob. The rear quarter windows were also changed to ones that opened.
The Car
This particular Anthracite coloured left-hand drive model was originally registered in Italy in 1971 and then brought to the UK in 2016. Now UK-registered, it is showing approximately 68,000km (43,000 miles) with paint and bodywork in very good condition. The interior is similar and has tear free dark blue vinyl seats and embossed floor mats.
The bambino Fiat has recently been recommissioned with a new exhaust, battery, brake wheel cylinders and other items attended to. The engine oil has been changed plus carburettor and petrol system have been cleaned. The V5c lists the car as an 'Historic Vehicle' thus tax and MOT-exempt.
Stand out from the crowd whilst enjoying the delights of Italy's favourite peoples' car.
