After 7 years of ownership, it is time to let one of the best 12C's in the UK go to a new home.

This was a £204,000 car from new with the following spec:

During my ownership, over £70K has been spent (every receipt kept and documented) on servicing, warranty renewal, soft close doors, McLaren 720S alloys, MPS4S tyres, Pagid RS29 brake pads, new TPMS sensors, a £6k+ respray of 75% of the car by McLaren Leeds to address slight corrosion (08/2023 and 2,200 miles ago), £2,500 PPF installed (not driven between respray and PPF) + all warranty work covered by McLaren.

She has had both front shocks & springs replaced under McWarranty (OSF in 08/2023 at 13,686 miles and NSF in 08/2024 at 13,939 miles) within the last 2,500 miles (plus all 4 suspension accumulators in 08/2021) and she was last serviced in 08/2024 on 13,939 miles and is just back from an amazing 2,000 mile tour of Spain and Portugal with Waynes World of Wheels.

The car spent the first 6 years of it's life in storage in Hong Kong (exported new then repatriated to the UK in 2017) but the car was never register over there and only driven by the McLaren Hong Kong dealership during annual servicing - every year. The first (speculator / collector) owner apparently NEVER EVEN DROVE THE CAR!

I purchased the car with 759 miles on the clock (as it was only driven by Mclaren HK and the UK storage company!) in mid 2018 with FULL McLaren service history (from McLaren HK and McLaren Manchester) and FULL McWarranty which included ALL recalls/updates being done and ALL inspection points rectified (this was over £12k including various age related parts being replaced) and was completed as part of my negotiations to buy the car in 2018.

So effectively, I bought an "as new" (759 miles) 12C that had been through McLarens (McHK and McManchester) workshops and brought up to mint condition, to included FULL McWarranty qualification and renewal, and the car has always lived under a cover in our barn (bone dry and carpeted!) since.

I originally bought the car as a retirement present to myself and I had planned to keep her forever BUT we are contemplating moving to Europe later this year (the UK is completely broken and beyond repair now) and I wouldn't drive a RHD car on the continent, so she won't be coming with us (I am also selling off more of my collection for the same reason).

Usage of the car has been embarrassingly low in recent years with miles between MOT's as follows:

2018-2019 at 4,379 miles (inc NC500 with McLaren Owners Club “MOC”),

2019-2020 at 2,320 miles (inc MOC Spanish Tour),

2020-2021 at 2,626 miles (inc MOC Northumberland tour),

2021-2022 at 1,170 miles (inc MOC Welsh tour),

2022-2023 at 2,443 miles (inc MOC North East tour),

2023-2024 at 594miles (very limited use due to my recovery from knee surgery),

2024 – April 2025 at 2,200 miles (inc recent 11 day 2,000 mile Spain / Portugal tour with WWOW),

The car has just been professionally detailed on our return from the Spain / Portugal trip.

So just to re-cap, this is a LOW MILE early Swipe Door MP4-12C that had no expense spared during its life, is has FULLY McLAREN WARRANTY until 08/2026 (TWENTY SIX), FULL McLAREN Service History, has NEVER used the Launch function, has NEVER been on track (other than parade laps of Silverstone a the 50th year celebration event) and is as good as a 12C gets.
