2015 KIA CEED SPORTSWAGON 1.6L CRDI 3 ISG ECODYNAMICS 2015

We helped our daughter choose, find and purchase this, her first car, when it was 3 years old. She named it Kevin. When she moved abroad 3 years later she left Kevin with us and asked us to sell him for her. However, Kevin was such a great car, we decided to keep him and use him as our main vehicle. We also call him Kevin.

Kevin is a 2015 1.6L CRDi 6 speed ISG ECO dynamics Kia Cee’d Sportswagon in Kia’s trim level 3. Although the main warranty ran out 2 years ago, the 12 year anti-perforation warranty still has just under 2 years left.

In bright red with chrome trim, black cloth seats with leather trim, 16” alloy wheels and privacy glass, the car looks fantastic, has been very reliable and has a brand new MOT.

With great performance and fuel economy (it has idle stop & go), this is an estate so has lots of room to accommodate loads of luggage and is cheaper to insure than a regular hatch back Cee’d, and since trim 3 is near the top of the Kia trim range it has loads of extras.

Some of the features that persuaded my daughter to choose this car included comfortable bucket seats with power lumbar support for the driver and passenger, a 7” touch screen with sat nav and a rear view camera and parking sensors for easy manoeuvring, dual climate control including AC with ioniser, bluetooth with voice recognition and music streaming, automatic rain sensing wipers, cruise control with an adjustable speed limiter, automatic headlights, LED daytime running lights, front fog lights and cornering lights, LED indicators and kerbside lights, welcome & follow me home lights, LED rear lights, ambient cabin lights, electrically folding & adjustable heated mirrors, an auto dimming rear view mirror, adjustable power steering (normal, comfort and sport modes), a cooling glovebox, and tasteful leather trim including the steering wheel and gear stick.

On the safety side of things it has 6 air bags, ABS, ESC, VSM, TPMS, emergency stop signalling, automatic defog system, HAC (hill start assist which is a great driver aid), ISOFIX, and a security alarm.

Kevin has always been serviced by Kia main dealers, except for the very last service which I very carefully did myself (receipts available). I also installed new shock absorbers at the same time.

The clutch was replaced at 67,411 miles, all 4 brake pads and all 4 brake discs at 57,979 miles and the Michelin CrossClimate all season tyres have plenty of tread wear left.

So with its very recent MOT Kevin will make an excellent first car for someone.
