Description

I'm relucantly selling my beloved 981S due to retirement planning.....
I bought it with £42,000 cash on the 29/9/21, clearing the Porsche PCP (number available) at the time. It's been a total pleasure to own and drive ever since. I've put approximately 20,000 miles on it in the 3 years and 6 months I've had it. The current MOT expires on the 21/9/25.
The guy I bought it off had if used from Porsche Chester and had a service there in August 2020, on 20192 miles. The previous two servies on 4699 and 8177 miles had also been carried out there.
I dont have the orginal spec sheet, so I can't list all of the options, but it does have Sport Chrono, the beautiful alloy steering wheel rather than the dull standard one, full auto memory seats and the embossed crests on the headrests.
I was always a manual 'box man, but the PDK has won me over with its speed and perfect "autoblip" when changing down.
I had the paint corrected, and then ceramic coated by Detailed By Dale not long after I bought it. I've never put it through an automatic car wash and when I've had it hand washed by my local guys, I have stipulated no acid should be used on the wheels.
I had the wheels refurbished on the 13/9/23 by a local company, Prestige Wheel Centre in Birmingham. I consider them a high quality supplier and have been very happy with their work. I also bought 4 new Michelin Pilot Sports from them at the time and I felt they were more supple and grippier in a wider range of road conditions and temperatures than the Pirelli Zeros that were on before.
In September 2023 an SUV reversed into the car in a hospital car park. The CCTV was avaialble so I know it was only a gentle nudge. It cracked the front numberplate (replaced) and left some white paint and a scratch on the bumper, so I had it professionaly resprayed by Mototec in Atherstone. It cost me £200 and it's a perfect job. The guy was recommended to me by Detailed by Dale, and I would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone.
I had the recall work done on the side axle carriers, which were replaced by Porsche Sutton Coldfield. Unfortunately they didn't tighten the anti-roll bar bolts when reassembling it, so I notied the difference in handling within a couple of miles and took it back to be fixed with no further issues.
I had the full service carried out by Porsche Sutton Coldfield on the 1/8/22, but because of the sligthly off-putting start to the relationship with them, I decided to use Ramus Porscha for the next service, a company which was recommended to me by a friend and who have proved themsleves to me when Ive used them since. the last service was carried out by Ramus on the 9/9/24. Ramus also replaced all the brake pads and two (genuine Porsche) front discs on the 10/1/23.
I had a full 4 wheel alignment carried out on the 22/12/22.
Everyting on the car works and the only issues are a tiny "ding" on the top of the wing. I've no idea how it happened and wouldn't even know how it could happen to be honest. It's only visible if you are looking for it and I'm pretty sure it could be sucked out by a body repiar company. I just haven't got round to it as I keep forgetting it's there. The only other issue is that front windscreen washer fluid delivery tube broke where it comes into the bonnet. I've repaired it with some silcone motorcycle fuel tube and it has never given me any trouble since then. It's visible so any buyer can see it and make a judgement on it. As far as I'm concerned it's a robust repair and I wasn't plannig to have the whole tube replaced or anyting like that.
It comes complete with the original handover pack, two keys and all the orginal Porsche documentation.
So that sums up my beautiful 981S. Its the most enjoyable car I've ever had by miles, but I have to sell it in order to fund our retirement. I'd have another Porsche in the blink of an eye as owning one has been a fantastic expereince. There's nothing like the feeling when that flat six fires up.....
I'm a private seller so no test drives are offered, just passenger rides to see that everything works perfectly.
Payment will be by bank transfer only, with the keys being handed over when the money arrives in my account.
Serious offers only please. I'm not a distressed seller and don't really want to sell if I'm honest :), so I'll talk to sensible potential buyers but I really don't want to be bothered by chancers trying to tell me what I shoud be accepting as they try to lowball.
