Standing out for its sleek design and practical motoring features, the Zephyr 4 harks back to classic Ford design.

The Ford Zephyr was manufactured by Ford of Britain for 22 years and was the largest passenger car in the British Ford range until it was replaced by the Consul and Granada in 1972. This is a Mark III, which was dramatically restyled while sharing some of its mechanical components with the Mark II. Ford UK decided to call its replacement the Zephyr 4, with the "4" indicating that it still used the four-cylinder 1,703cc engine from the Consul 375. A four-speed manual gearbox, now with synchromesh on all gears, was standard, with overdrive or automatic transmission available as options. Front disc brakes were also fitted as standard.

This car is coming to market after just over 2 and a half years of ownership, presented in an attractive and period green-over-green colourway. It comes with a decent history file detailing servicing, maintenance, and parts replacements, as well as numerous old MOT certificates, the mileage believed to be 164,172 having gone around the clock. Based on the invoices and the pictures of the exterior renovation, it is believed to have been actioned in 2014/2015 by the former keeper, and also included the engine being reconditioned too.
