The 2+0 has a great amount of luggage space. Good boot space, plus there's additional storage directly behind driver & passenger seats.
One of the last small volume, hand-built cars to come of the production lines, ensuring that while prices of more recent, mass produced Lotus cars continue to drop, prices of the Evora 410 are holding firm.
The IPS gearbox makes it easy to drive around town, the smooth V6 is really quiet in touring mode. However, press the sport button and it turns into a growling animal, and if driven using the paddle-shift, is unbelievable fun. Used as my 2nd car (weekend toy), but could easily be a daily drive.
The Lotus Sport 410 was manufactured for a very short period, ensuring it would become a sought-after model in years to come. Based on the Evora 400, it was given extra power and made even lighter, replacing standard production materials with carbon fibre (seats, roof, engine cover/boot lid, front splitter, front access panel).
The IPS (Intelligent Precision Shift) gear box is in my opinion, the best option for this car. The system learns how you drive and becomes almost telepathic, giving you the next gear exactly when you want it. Sport mode sharpens it up, giving you more revs to ensure the engine is always ready. Also, no expensive clutch replacements required, more torque & faster to 60 than the manual version, and sounds much better when shifting.
The Toyota derived engine is sublime. Although tweaked by Lotus, it's hard to understand how it could be made to produce the exhaust noises it does. As the revs increase and with the exhaust valve open, it delivers an incredible rasp that never gets boring.
Then there's the way it drives: Something only fully appreciated by those who've driven a Lotus. The slightest input is all that's required. Lotus stuck with hydraulic power steering, rather than moving to electric, which ensures far better connection to the road. They also dialled in just the right amount of steering and TC assistance, so the driver doesn't notice it.
The Evora Sport 410s are now in very short supply and will undoubtedly become an appreciating asset.
