FORD 1989

So, after much deliberation, I have decided to advertise my 2wd Sapphire Cosworth. A while ago I had to thin my cars down due to space shortage problems and sold my Escort and after much soul searching I have decided I miss owning an Escort so here goes. I bought this car as an unfinished Restoration two and a half years ago and at that stage it consisted of a mint painted Shell and most of the parts to finish the car. The car was a credit to the chap I bought it off as not only was the shell absolutely mint, perhaps more importantly , it included most of the e hard to find parts that are needed to complete a car to this standard. The car's been on the road for about 18 months, and in that time, has probably done a couple of thousand, trouble free, miles. Here's a quick run down of the spec:

Mint, rotisserie, restored Shell. Believed to be original panels, painted beautifully, in its original colour, Magenta

Freshly built engine, built by friend and Cosworth employee, using a lot of new parts. One of the quietest YBs I've heard, and I've had a few.

Turbo Systems Checked over Level 6 ECU with new Eprom, Stage 3 map. Refurbished Bosch 803 Green Injectors, 3 Bar Map sensors etc

Good T5 box and Diff.

Helix Organic Clutch and Retroford Hydraulic actuation

AVO, non Coilover Suspension so rides beautifully.

Gorgeous and incredibly rare 17" Rondell Wheels and New Toyo Proxes 215/45 tyres

All new Brakes, Discs, Calipers, Flexies and Hard Lines in Green.

All new Fuel system including DW350 Fuel Pump, all new Flexible and Hardlines, Modern Fuel Regulator.

New Auto Dynamix Engine Wiring loom as well as new, uporated Dual temp Fans and Fuel Pump Looms.

Mint light Grey Interior, absolutely no sagging (I ended up buying nearly three sets of seats to get to this) the only negative is a couple of small marks on the rear Seat Base

Stack Gauges fir Oil Pressure and Boost, Digital AEM AFR Gauge

Two Piece RS500 Repro front Splitter

Plus loads more I've probably forgotten about. There is no early documentation with this car, it was lost many years ago but more importantly all the stuff I have done to the car is supported by a large Document Folder of Paperwork
