Aero Performance features:

(1) The new GR Yaris Aero Performance grade represents the latest manifestation of Toyota Gazoo Racing’s commitment to make ever-better cars through motorsport. It introduces the following six new aerodynamic performance parts, each of which was identified through driving data analysis and first-hand contributions from professional drivers in the heat of competition

(2) Cooling duct and grille: beautifully recessed into the gently recontoured aluminum bonnet, these components improve cooling by allowing heat from the engine bay to be discharged during high-speed driving. It was developed and proven in cars competing in the Japanese Rally Championship.

(3)ariable rear spoiler: this unmissable appendage makes a significant contribution to high-speed handling and braking stability. Its angle can be manually adjusted to suit different road or track situations, while the prominent GR-Four lettering on the sides was directly inspired by the legend embossed into the WRC-style rear wing of the ST205 Celica GT-Four.

Floor undercover: inspired by the flat bottom of the fuel tank used in Super Taikyu endurance racing in Japan, this flat floor covering (not pictured) optimises rear underbody airflow to further improve the vehicle’s aerodynamic performance.

(4)Front wing ducts: featured at the rear of the front wings of the Aero Performance model, these vents create an efficient escape route for air accumulating within the front wheel wells. This helps to improve steering feel under braking and handling stability when entering a corner.

(5)Rear bumper ducts: these vents reduce the car’s drag coefficient by creating another exit point for air flowing beneath the car. Their development was prompted in response to high aerodynamic loads experienced by GR Yaris models in the harsh environment of circuit racing in Japan’s Super Taikyu series.

In addition to these aerodynamic parts, the GR Yaris Aero Performance model also adopts a racing-style vertical handbrake. All GR Yaris models now feature the six-speed intelligent manual transmission.
