Overview
Ah, Jaguar. A brand that has had more than its fair share of headlines of late, and not always for the right reasons.
As we look towards an uncertain and most definitely electrified future, it’s easy to forget that just a decade ago, the stunning F-Type represented Jaguar at the top of its game – a car that used the ancient but admirable art of supercharging to deliver its thrills.
Rekindling memories of the legendary E-Type, not least by virtue of its name, the F-Type was a stunning machine, as well as a super-sharp one to drive – due largely to its bonded aluminium chassis, which allowed incredible stiffness as well as minimal weight. Indeed, it still is – perhaps more so, now we know we’ll never see its like again.
This one is the entry-level car, but that’s no bad thing because in F-Type terms, it means you get something that’s still very special indeed, not least thanks to its 3.0-litre supercharged V6 powertrain. 335bhp, accompanied by an intoxicating induction howl, makes for a car that’s an object of great desire, especially in cabriolet guise.
There’s no shortage of drama every time you press the throttle – the soundtrack alone, a deep, crackling snarl, is enough to remind anyone why open-top motoring is such a joy regardless of the weather. Spring will be here soon, anyway.
This particular example is a genuine low-mileage car with a full maintenance record, in excellent overall condition. It’s a fine example of what – even if we didn’t know it at the time – is the last true Jaguar sport car, at least with a petrol engine.

Summary
Here’s a chance for you to own what will go down in history as one of the all-time classic Jaguars – the last hurrah for its petrol engined sport cars and for a tradition of supercharging that has defined the company’s performance models for decades.
It’s a fabulous thing – smart and discreet, yet with a naughty streak that only comes to the fore when you open it up, accompanied by a soundtrack that makes it difficult not to. There’ll never be a Jaguar like this again, so buy one while you still can…
