The answer to the prayers of those who thought the regular V10 R8 Spyder wasn't quick enough. The GT badge isn’t marketing fluff — it means lighter, sharper, faster.

Audi trimmed 85kg from the standard Spyder using a meticulous diet of carbon fibre panels and even a thinner windscreen.

The 5.2-litre V10 remains a masterpiece. Power increased to 552bhp of naturally aspirated fury that builds in a smooth, linear crescendo, its final 2,000rpm a glorious mechanical howl as you go from 0-60mph in 3.8 seconds and on to 197 mph.

Visually, it’s all menace and intent: Glacier White paintwork, titanium grey accents, and a fixed carbon rear wing. Yet it retains a certain Audi elegance — purposeful rather than ostentatious.
