2019 BMW M2 COMPETITION

Having "lost" my E92 M3 V8 convertible thanks to a lump of Cornish granite destroying the lower engine in 2019, I decided to buy a new M2 Competition from BMW Park Lane. I "specced" it as a manual and with a sunroof.

Not long after it arrived, I had to have a stem cell transplant which necessitated a number of weeks in a hospital isolation unit followed by months of recovery at home. I watched a lot of You Tube, particularly, Joe Achilles who had also recently bought an M2C which he was starting to modify.

Partly due to his influence, I decided to modify my M2C to create something just for me. Over a period of time, helped by Paddock Motors, a BMW specialist just outside Exeter, I have spent a not insignificant amount of money on creating my version.

Listed below (not exhaustive) are the principal items I've added:

- Crank hub fix (Joe A didn't do this and suffered the consequences at a track day years later)

- BBS wheels

- Remus exhaust, carbon tips and mid-section

- AC Schnitzer lowering springs and spacers

- Eventuri carbon intake kit

- Eventuri carbon charge cooler pipes

- Forge Motorsport charge cooler

- Forge Motorsport charge cooler radiator

- Alcon front discs with DS2500 brake pads

- Stage 1 remap by Celtic Tuning, Newquay

Just to say, I am not a young modification-mad petrolhead....I have had a bus pass for the last 3 years! I have a passion for driving, having been fortunate enough to have owned many fabulous cars (& bikes). My M2C looks understated, has been to Le Mans 24 hours since I've been fit again and makes me smile every time I get into it and fire it up. It is a car for the enthusiast,

It has been serviced annually with the oil being changed every year by a local BMW specialist and has covered 29,638 miles from new and is garaged in St. Agnes, Cornwall. Its next MOT is due in July and it will be serviced, if unsold, before its next road trip to Le Mans in June.
