Description
For sale is my extensively engineered 2021 Toyota GR Yaris, professionally built by Garage Whifbitz and SpecJ Motorsport with a focus on reliability, drivability and outright performance.
This is not your average GR Yaris. The car has been developed using some of the best components available for the platform and maintained regardless of cost throughout my ownership. The aim of the build was never simply to chase dyno numbers, but to create an exceptionally capable road car that remains reliable, usable and rewarding to drive.
The majority of the build was completed during winter 2023/2024. To minimise downtime, a brand-new long block and cylinder head were purchased and fully engineered by SpecJ Motorsport at just over 28,000 miles, rather than rebuilding the original engine.
Final suspension geometry, corner weighting and chassis setup were carried out by Ben at String Theory Garage, while engine and drivetrain calibrations were completed by Paul Whiffin at Garage Whifbitz and Ryan at Syvecs respectively.
The car remains fully trimmed with the original interior, retains excellent road manners and is surprisingly refined considering the level of performance available. It is equally capable as a fast road car, track car or hill climb machine should the next owner wish to take it further.
Since completion, the car has been maintained to an extremely high standard, with fluids and spark plugs replaced at a minimum of six-month intervals.
The result is a genuinely sorted GR Yaris producing up to 540whp on E80 flex fuel. For everyday use, the 99RON calibration delivers a more conservative yet still hugely capable 392whp, providing excellent drivability and reliability while remaining devastatingly quick.
