2 owners (I purchased the car from the original owner with just 70 miles on the clock and have owned it for the past five years from new.)

If you're looking at this advert, you already know just how special the GR Yaris is.

I originally had a GR Yaris on order, but due to the delays with the first production batch, I bought this example instead. It has been meticulously maintained throughout my ownership and has always been serviced by Toyota. Despite the modifications, they have never been questioned by the dealer, who regularly comments on how clean and well-presented the car is. The interior is genuinely as new.

Chassis & Suspension

One aspect of the standard car I felt could be improved was the slightly fidgety ride on typical British roads. To address this, the car was professionally set up by Ben at Shoestring Racing with:

- Lowering springs

- Front and rear camber bolts

- Full geometry setup

The transformation was remarkable. The car feels more planted, more composed and significantly more confidence-inspiring without losing its character.

Exhaust & Cooling

While at Shoestring Racing, I also fitted:

- HKS Super Light “Legamax” exhaust system

- Whifbitz front PPF delete pipe (JDM-spec cars do not use the front PPF section, which improves top-end breathing)

- TRD ventilated undertray for improved cooling to the gearbox and front differential

The result is a more responsive, free-revving car with a superb exhaust note that's never intrusive.

Wheels & Tyres

After a long search for the right wheels, I settled on:

- Pro Race 1 wheels in gold (oz centre caps as pro race one’s are rubbish and hard to obtain)

- Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperSport tyres (255/35 R18 square setup)

- AP design Carbon front mud flaps (to protect from stone rash)

- PPF to rear aches and side seals from new.

The tyres are in excellent condition.

The original unmarked OEM Enkei wheels, fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres+ tyre sensors, are included with the sale.

Interior & Weight Reduction

Continuing the Club Sport theme, the car features:

- Rear seat delete kit with tower brace and load mesh inc. helmet net etc (installed from virtually new)

- Original rear seats and all hardware included

- DEAD WEIGHT INDUSTRIES Lightweight lithium battery, approximately 17kg lighter than the standard unit

- Original OEM battery included

- Driver's mirror repositioned with a shorter bracket for improved visibility

- CAN bus OBD gauge display mounted in the driver's air vent, displaying:

- Oil pressure

- Oil temperature

- Differential temperature

- Gear indicator

- Shift lights/rpm indicator

- Tyre pressures

- Various other live engine and vehicle data

- TRD carbon-effect dashboard trim, which really lifts the interior.

Included with the Car

The sale includes all of the original parts, including:

- OEM Enkei wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres

- Rear seats and fittings

- Original battery

- Original exhaust system

- Original suspension springs

Although, in my opinion, the car is now exactly how the GR Yaris should have left the factory.

Condition

The car has always been cherished, never abused and remains in excellent condition throughout. It has covered just 16,000 miles and has wanted for nothing.

Summary

The ethos behind the build was to retain OEM reliability but improve on handling, weight, cooling efficiency (get those gases out a.s.a.p) and so on. Car always run on Shell Ultimate etc.

This would make the perfect car for someone looking to enjoy spirited Sunday morning drives, the occasional track day or even a Nürburgring trip. It combines the reliability of full Toyota service history with carefully selected, high-quality modifications that genuinely enhance the driving experience while retaining all of the original parts.
