Others are special because of the story behind them. This particular BMW M2 Competition is one of those cars. Finished in the iconic Long Beach Blue Metallic, this 2019 M2 Competition has covered just 29,800 miles and, importantly for us, is a car we previously supplied here at SCC Leeds back in 2024. It has now returned to us as a part exchange, giving us the rare opportunity to offer a car that we already know and have previously supplied to one of our customers. At its heart is BMW M's legendary 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged straight-six, producing an impressive 410 PS and 550 Nm of torque. The Competition's engine is derived from the powerplant used in the M3 and M4, giving the M2 genuinely serious performance in a much smaller and more agile package. Paired with the superb 7-speed M DCT dual-clutch transmission, the M2 Competition delivers explosive acceleration while retaining the involvement and character expected from a proper rear-wheel-drive M car. It's compact, exceptionally balanced and hugely entertaining, making it equally at home on a great B-road or a weekend trip. The Long Beach Blue finish is arguably one of the colours that defines the M2 Competition. It perfectly suits the car's muscular proportions, flared arches and aggressive M styling, giving it the unmistakable presence that makes an M2 stand out from a standard 2 Series. This example also benefits from three BMW services, including the important BMW Running-In Service, demonstrating that the car has been maintained in accordance with BMW's requirements from early in its life. The last service was carried out by SCC Leeds in November 2024, when we previously had the car in our ownership. The M2 Competition represents something increasingly difficult to find: a compact, rear-wheel-drive, six-cylinder performance car with a proper mechanical character and relatively few compromises. With modern performance figures but the compact dimensions of a traditional sports coupe, it has already developed a strong following amongst enthusiasts. And perhaps most importantly, we know this car. Having originally supplied it ourselves in 2024 and now taking it back in part exchange, we have a genuine history with the vehicle rather than simply acquiring it through auction or an unknown source.
