Description
The Lotus Elise Cup 250 Final Edition was the pinnacle of Elise development, being one of two 'Final Edition' models released in 2021. The UK allocation for the Cup 250 models sold out within a matter of days when announced, and I was fortunate enough to secure a build slot with Central Lotus in Nottingham.
It was a car I promised myself I'd never sell, but after five years of fantastic ownership and many adventures, I've decided to sell 'Kermit' to fund other Lotus purchases and let someone else enjoy the car as much as I have.
This particular car is the only UK Elise Cup 250 Final Edition finished in Vivid Green with Black Pack, as confirmed by the car's official Certificate of Provenance, which is included in the sale (pictured).
The history of the car, from factory build photographs in 2021, through until the end of 2025, was documented in full across almost twenty issues of Absolute Lotus magazine, for which I wrote a regular column on the car. It also featured in a cover story for the Lotus Drivers Club's Chicane magazine, as well as in several YouTube videos for the One Eleven Cars channel.
In 2022, the car won the prestigious Lotus Manufacturers Award at Salon Privé Blenheim Palace.
The car's bodywork is in excellent condition and benefits from PPF to the front half of the clam, as well as on the sides of the sills and behind the rear wheels (to protect from the worst of the stone chips). There is no kerb damage to any of the diamond cut wheels, although there are a couple of very minor marks to the spokes, caused by stones.
Similarly, the interior is in excellent condition with no damage. Being a Final Edition Cup 250, it benefits from a digital dash and is fitted with exquisite carbon fibre seats, finished in 'silver' (light grey) Alcantara. It is currently fitted with 'TL Spec' cup holders in between the seats, but the original storage bin will come with the car. This particular car is fitted with cruise control, as well as a radio player with bluetooth.
Mechanically, the car is in perfect working order and is ready for its next owner to enjoy.
The car comes with both a soft top and hard top, along with an OEM fabric storage case. The sale will also include the factory-supplied battery charger which has been used religiously to avoid damage to the Cup 250's lightweight lithium battery.
As you'd expect for such a well-cherished car, there is a comprehensive folder of paperwork detailing every service and every piece of work that has been completed. It has a full Lotus main dealer / specialist service history, which is detailed below. The car has a valid MOT until August 2027.
Other work of note includes a TRD airbox which was fitted to the car in 2023, and a replacement radiator and fans (a weak point on the Elise) which was fitted in 2025.
The diamond cut wheels (unique to the Final Edition models) are shod in Toyo R888R tyres - an excellent semi-slick tyre which suits the Cup 250 brilliantly, whilst being slightly longer lasting than the factory fitted Yokohama A052. The sale also includes a brand new set of R888R rear tyres, still in their packaging and worth over £300 (the current rear tyres are still legal, but don't have much tread left).
In addition, I also have a spare set of Lotus OEM forged lightweight wheels in excellent condition, finished in silver and shod with Yokohama V105 tyres (better for cold/wet weather driving). These can be purchased with the car for an additional £1500, or they will be advertised separately for £1800.
I'm happy to answer any questions and viewings are welcome. Test drives will require proof of insurance, but I'm happy to take interested buyers out as a passenger if this isn't possible.
