Description

This Mercedes-AMG SLS Roadster was supplied by Mercedes-Benz Maidstone on 20th December 2011 and was first registered to them as a demonstrator. It has covered just 14,700 miles since and has been extremely well-cared for during this time. As such, it is in immaculate condition with totally original paint, full PPF and an extensive service history (14 services in total). The car was originally optioned with the following: (048) Designo Mystic White II paint, (507) Single-Tone Designo Exclusive Leather in Classic Red, (767) 19/20 inch 10-Spoke AMG Forged Wheels in Matt Black, (H73) Carbon Fibre Interior Trim, (773) Carbon Fibre Exterior Mirrors, (U70) Red Brake Calipers, (340) AMG Steering Wheel in Nappa Leather/Alcantara, (234) Blind Spot Assist. Since then, the car has been fully PPF’d; the gearbox software updated by a Mercedes dealer; Apple CarPlay installed (utilising the original screen and hardware); new tyres last year (1500 miles ago); and all of the inevitable SLS issues sorted.

We purchased this car off of its 3rd owner in January this year and have done 2,000 miles in it since. The previous owner bought the SLS in November 2015 at 6,000 miles and subsequently had it fully PPF’d, which is still in excellent condition today. He used the car sparingly and it was always kept in the garage next to his 458 Spider and Aventador Roadster, completing just 6,000 more miles in 10 years. The car was serviced every year without fail and has a total of 14 services, the last being by Avantgarde Automotive in September at 14,500 miles. The previous owner also took it to have the gearbox software updated by the Mercedes dealer, meaning quicker shifts and better pick-up. We also had the inevitable SLS jobs done at the cost of £4,500, which included replacing the intake manifold gasket (which perishes over time) and the oil pressure switches and associated wiring loom. These parts are getting increasingly harder to source from Mercedes and most SLSs have not had these jobs done.

Today, the car is in totally original and nigh on immaculate condition, it is very difficult to fault its condition. As expected with such fastidious owners, it drives perfectly and everything works as it should, including the all-important (for the UK) Air Scarf which has had the motor recently replaced.
