The reasons for the Scrambler's commercial success were manifold. It had an excellent frame and an engine that was perfectly suited for its function. It was not the fastest bike of its day, but its general performance and absolutely centered riding position made it one of the most delightful machines of its era.
It was extremely stylish with rounded lines - simultaneously classical and modern and came in bright colors contrasting with the black running gear and chrome components.
The 350 Scrambler was powered by a 340cc SOHC engine that was mated to a five-speed gearbox and it came with a 9.5-1 compression ratio that provided much needed performance improvements to the bike.

This beautiful Ducati 350 Scrambler was not built in Italy, but was originally built under license by MotoTrans in Barcelona in 1975 and it was first registered in Palma, Majorca, Spain from new and still wears it Palma number plate.
We are told that it was a one owner bike in Spain before being sold in 2017 when it was taken to Italy for restoration, but we cannot confirm this as all the paperwork and documents for the bike were lost in the post when being sent by the owner to Italy.
It was imported to the UK earlier this year after completion of its restoration and after obtaining a dating letter from the Ducati Owners Club and inspection by the DVLA it has just been registered here as KPW 943N.
It is in very nice condition and rides superbly and the indicated 9,699 Kilometers on the Speedometer we are told is its original mileage from new, but again we cannot confirm this as being accurate due to the lack of paperwork.
Now on display at our showrooms in Mortlake, SW London.
Further photograph's to follow shortly.
