HJA bring you this magnificent R34 GT-R V-Spec 2 just in from Japan. It really doesn’t get much better than this, Grade 4.5, no accident history with genuine low kilometres from new.
First impressions the bodywork is practically flawless. Garaged all of its life and never used in the rain, it really has been cherished by its owner in Japan. The condition of this GTR really has to be seen just check out the pictures this is pretty much how it would of rolled out of the factory beautiful glossy paintwork. This really is one for the collectors.
Our specialist team only hand pick the highest quality GT-R’s, so when they came across this they immediately informed us we have to get this at all cost, it’s one of the cleanest they have seen in a number of years!
It has all the original panels and being a Grade 4.5 it has no repair history. It is rare to find an original straight example such as this. Despite of all the Top end GTR dealers in Japan trying to get hold of the car, we were fortunate enough to be able to secure the R34 and bring it over to the U.K.
Interior is outstanding, completely stock (bar the stereo), it retains the original factory steering wheel/gear knob and gaiters not to mention the factory fresh Nissan GTR mats. It even has the factory blue protective wrap over the GTR door strips!
When you pop the bonnet you will be astonished just how clean the engine bay is. There is no way that this GT-R has even seen a wet day. Every nut and bolt is like new it still has the factory bar-coded stickers on the engine loom/harnesses; these normally fall of or are damaged with heat so really goes to show the high level of this R34.
It’s not just exceptionally clean on top, underneath is also completely rust free. The condition pretty much blows your mind away how a car produced in 2002 can still be this pristine. Another point to note is just how clean the strut tops, rear arches and spare wheel area are, those that are familiar with GTR’s will know this usually is a problem area.
Check out our detailed underneath pictures, this really is as clean as it gets- genuinely clean not one of those rusted but restored GTR’s, this is how it came from the factory so a real testament to the owner in Japan. It even retains the factory Calsonic Nissan exhaust in remarkable condition.
As you would expect from a GTR of this standard it drives absolutely beautifully, oil pressure is healthy 6 bar cold start and 2.5bar hot idle. The iconic Rb26 Engine pulls boisterously throughout the rev range without any hesitation. Gearbox is nice and fluent with no crunches.
With the rapidly increasing prices of the R34’s now is the best time to buy. The huge worldwide demand for R34s have seen buying frenzy’s in Japan, to give you an example a low mileage R34 GTR V-spec II Nur just recently sold for over £120,000 before any shipping or Taxes! Another example would be an R34 GT-R Z-Tune has recently been put up for £420,000 which really goes to show how highly collectable the R34 GTR model has become.
Sourcing examples like this is like finding a needle in a hay stack. Overall if you are after a truly cherished example to enjoy yourself, to be part of a collection or as an investment look no further.
Spec
The V·Spec II has increased stiffness in the suspension and had larger rear brake rotors. It also comes equipped with a carbon fibre bonnet equipped with a NACA duct, which is lighter than the aluminium that all other GT-R bonnets are made from. Also different on the V·Spec II was an iridium centre console and aluminium pedals. The seats were upholstered with black cloth rather than the gray cloth used on previous R34 GT-R models, and the amber turn lenses were replaced with white versions. A total of 1,855 V-Spec II were built 348 in WV2 Sparkling Silver.
