Started watching Mat armstrong on YouTube. Lad from my city who buys crash damage cars and documents the build to get them back on the road. Currently over in America working on a GT3...

Quite a good watch

I really think his channel has enough content to justify this thread to be updated regularly.

He's got a real talent for creating interesting story lines.

I suspect he's also got good people around him.

I'm really enjoying his stuff, even if I'm cringing most of the way.
Loving the rs6 dramas, like how he shows all the headaches that most of us face when working on cars all bikes. The amount of times I have to re do something is frightening ! My spanner would of been launched a few times though

Looking forward to watching how the rolls Royce turns out...

On his 2nd channel he was documenting his garage build, most petrol heads dream build I would say!

This rolls build with the football part will definitely pull in extra viewing figures, especially when you also see it in the national papers

Loved the Murcielago build especially the engine rebuild, same as the ferrari engine build, would be great to have more crazy engine rebuilds, also loved that a guy won a comp to start it, that episode was brilliant! Keep smashing it pal

Awesome! Great work on unleashing the horses in the manègelaugh
It looks as though it’s a slow move between the two so possibly keeping the old one as a rental? If so, the upgrade is all the more impressive. HWBT.
Hurrah!

It’s not a ménage, that’s something else altogether biggrin
I now know what a menage is hahaha.. you live and learn!

Amazing house, amazing car collection! HWBT! But let's be fair, he also has lots of talent

Cracking episode and also not too jealous of them hanging out with the stig and giving the beans to the reasonably priced car! Made me laugh when the stig wouldn't do another lap with Mat.

We have laws protecting people against gambling for a reason, same with smoking and drinking.

IANAL, but the BMW raffle is very close to clearly flouting those laws, IMO for several reasons:

1) the free entry route must be promoted as obviously as the paid entry: it certainly was not on the YouTube channel and arguably was not on the website.

2) the free entry route must be no less convenient than the paid entry - having to handwrite and fill in a postcard, then post it is not as convenient as filling in an online form on your computer from your sofa, especially if you allow multiple entries.

3) allowing only 48 hours for handwritten posted entries to arrive also flouts the no less convenient rule.

Fair enough if Matt wants to run a lottery, but he needs to abide by the rules, IMO.

He's using the "free entry" loop hole to avoid needing a licence, but he's doing his best to avoid anyone using the free entry route.
