Dog with upset stomach

Hi All,

Our dog has been suffering with diarrhoea for a few days now.

The vet has given him pro-kolin, which is a gastrointestinal treatment and feeding him chicken and rice, but nothing seems to be firming up his stools. He's also going to toilet at an increased frequency, compared to normal.

The thing is, he is absolutely fine in all other ways, still eating and drinking as normal and begging at meal times! Still wanting to go on his walks and no difference in his behaviour whatsoever, no increased sleeping, or vomiting or lethargy.

I wondered if anyone else had seen something similar in their dog and it cleared up on it's own, or they can recommend something that might help. Or whether we need to go back to the vets.

We're going away on a long distance walking holiday soon with him and we want to obviously get this cleared up for him.

There haven't been any changes in his diet or enviornment to bring this on, so we're a bit stumped.
