Evora prices appear to be softening a little, which is nice as I'm currently on the hunt for one. Leaning towards a 400 as the lower tax bracket is certainly a factor, that and easier to get in and out of though I have to say I'm less keen on the slightly aggressive nose.

Unfortunately Elise prices seem to be too which is a shame as I need to move mine on first

There are some Evora 410s and 430s that are only about £5k cheaper than an Emira.

Maybe I'm missing something but this doesn't make much sense to me.

I would think it's simply supply and demand, many Emiras have been dumped onto the market and there are fewer Evoras for sale.

...on balance I actually prefer the Evora too, though I would not say no to an Emira smile

Just sold my manual 400 2+2 for £36,750 - It was in great condition, though admittedly higher than average miles at 44k - Full Lotus history, report from Lotus showing brakes all good, nearly brand new Michelins all round, one advisory on the MOT for a wobbly head lamp that I sorted with photo evidence and parts invoice before the sale, black Alcantara interior and silver exterior - It really is a lovely car.

It was a really tough car to sell, was on the market for months upon months with plenty of time wasters and only two people who actually came to see it, one of whom bought the car, the other just seemed to want to look at a 400 and ended up buying a far cheaper S1 car. I appreciate they're niche and rare which was a big part of the appeal for me but I really never expected the lack of interest... they're absolutely phenomenal cars and mine was a lovely example.

Just saw another nice looking 400 pop up at Jon Seal with lower miles than mine for just under £40k, prices are definitely coming down.

Would still highly recommend the Evora 400, it was an absolutely fantastic car to own and to drive, just a rubbish car to try and sell!

Your car looked lovely and very good value for such a nice car!

Evoras have always been slow sellers - mine took 4 months to shift and it was a really nice Sports Racer at well under £30k several years ago.

I’m still really tempted to get back in an Evora, however I do think they have a way to drop now the Emira is compressing the top of the market.

Elise’s take almost as long to sell if it’s any consolation!

Until we see more untidy and higher mile examples offered for sale, I don't see the bottom end of the market dropping all that much. Yes perhaps some in the high teens come the winter and obviously considering inflation over recent years the 'prices' have dropped, but not massively. The higher powered and priced Evoras are of course under pressure from Emiras now even if they're not directly comparable.

Now the Wells has crept up in price, my car to be buried in is looking more and more like a 400.

I have followed a few and they really do hold their price.

Getting to the point where a good 410 is matching an Emira

Same happened with an even less well received and rare modern Lotus - the Europa.

Yeah it was some bad timing too, a 400 hadn't been anywhere near £40k since they launched... then the market did what the market did, a really ropey and really high miles car sold for very low 30s and I had to drop it considerably to sell it. Shame as I think it was worth more (I would say that).
