Mark ‘Elvis’ Priestley saying lots of rumours circulating at Monaco that a deal has been done with Ferrari
The rumours are nothing new!But if by rumours he means.. it's an open secret at this point? Which I'd assume it is and everyone meets up at GP weekends to share and confirm what they've heard, no doubt.
Just constant rumours, people claiming a close inside source, or whatever. Just over Monaco weekend we get the rumour that Flavio is looking to get Newey at Alpine. Now a couple days ago F1 Insider claiming Mercedes offering Newey a deal with shares worth 1.1 billion pounds..... Williams and McLaren in the mix with rumoured offers.

I'm sure at least McLaren and Mercedes must have offered. The Ferrari rumour seems the most convincing and most repeated.. Along with Lewis's reaction when asked, and the general 'it makes so much sense' vibes.Although if Merc offered him 1.1bn in shares, he should take that - he could buy a better boat then
If AN hasn't signed for a team in the next 2 years, is he allowed to wander around the grid taking notes?
Its not like every other designer is a fool and im sure he gets a lot of ideas from what he sees on othe cars.
Too many risks joining another team early and producing unknown ideas.
Mercedes is a prime example. Should have gone safe for previous new regs but jumped in with super radical ideas that didn't work.
Obvious danger is he may sit watching f1 on the telly and realize how boring and pointless it all is lol.

Sky podcast reckons Sainz and Newey to Williams. I'd like either, but I think both would be fantastic.
I might get rather drunk, over a number of days, if Newey went to Williams and Sainz delivered a world championship with them, denying Ferrari the title. TheDeuce said:
