It is now undergoing a full nut and bolt restoration by Terry Pankhurst. The same guy who built it 35 years ago!
Wow that's a name from the past, didn't realise he was still going! Still remember that T16 replica he built on a LanEvo chassis, madness hehe

Wasn't there an epic thread on a Dimma in the same blue years ago? Might have been a 306?

That colour! yum

I'm not one for aftermarket body kits in the slightest.. Dimma ones however.. They somehow got them right. Love it.

So the car is now finished, I collected it from Terry a week ago. I still have some mechanical issues to sort out before it’s fully up and running. But the finish is outstanding.

I always though the 306 Maxi kit was the best looking. Still had a nice purposeful stance, but without the 80s creased bodywork and faux-F348 slats along the side.

Nice! Not sure if this was a Dimma kit design though?
Iirc the Maxi kits were all in-house Peugeot, but unquestionably a big influence of the Dimma kits etc. Lovely machines.
I believe Dimma were the suppliers and manufacturers for the Maxi rallycar parts and as part of the deal Dimma got to sell adapted versions for road cars.

Fair play for taking it on. Lovely colour!

Never been a massive Dimma fan, they’re of the time for sure, but do appreciate the work that goes into them. A lad I knew when younger had a Clio Dimma. That was probably my fave of their kits.

It was Max Power featured. Loved the colour.

My brother's mate had one of these in that blue growing up back in the day.
It looked mint for the time.

The 2 306 Maxi kit ones which were featured in Max Power were very nice, they had the hatchback but the convertible in particular was gorgeous with that kit on.

Massive congratulations on the car and ref the 306 cabrio - definitely. Did you know you can still get the kits and 306’s are very, very cheap…

Didn't 'H20 COS' Cosworth 205 Dimma feature as a resto on here or another forum?

This is lovely to see.

May I ask, what colour is this? Looks quite like Sigma Blue (MONQ) from the Ph1 306 era? Or was it a special Dimma colour?
