To be fair to the OP, he held up his hands and admitted his mistake. He wasn't asking for sympathy, or even advice on how to mitigate his situation, and merely asked what would be likely to happen.

You won't see me in any thread where I complain about getting caught speeding. Not because I don't speed, or because I never get caught. Or because I wouldn't welcome intelligent input. More to do with the sanctimonious drivel certain posters subject others to, because they've the bare faced cheek to come onto a forum named SPL on a motoring forum and ask for advice.
Maybe a decade ago when this place wasn't inhabited by a percentage of holier than thou sad acts, but not now.

I never once complained or blamed anyone else. Just asked for advice and what’s going to happen that’s all. It’s fine by me if you want to waste your time and give negative replies and how it’s my fault like I already don’t know.Petrus1983 said:

I wasn’t asking for your sympathy. Just asked people for advice and what’s going to happen that’s all. I know it’s my fault and I understand that. Also I used to drive for work 8 hours a day for 3 months. I’m very well aware and clued up. It was just a mistake and they sometimes happen. Due to the timing and it being dark and the officers not pulling me straight away. It didn’t set alarm bells in my head and that was a mistake. We’ve all made mistakes.
I’d highly recommend an IAM Roadsmart course to the OP once he gets his license back again.

My bad for the late reply. My court date was yesterday. I couldn’t attend due to family emergency. I had got in contact with Laywers and they had told me to write a heartfelt statement on my actions which I had done. I’m positive even if I did go or didn’t it would result in a 6 months ban. It was my fault and I have to face the consequences which I’ve accepted now. Salted_Peanut said:
