The time comes again when people, such as my wife, ask me what I want for Christmas.

As has been the case for a while now, I don't really know.

Last year, someone on PH started a similar thread and thanks to the suggestions of others, I realied that in my life I needed a Dremel multi tool, which was duly found under the tree last year and has been very handy several times since.

What are other PHers hoping to find under the tree this year?

I've asked for a Dremel 2 years in a row and haven't received. Might try again.

I think I want a Raspberry Pi, but not quite sure what to do with it.

Other than that, i'm happy with beer and socks.

Thanks to a mate giving me a demo, I now want a drone with camera. Re-landscaped garden after many visits to Canada mean I now want a Totem Pole to put in it.

Homebrew equipment always goes down well.

I loved woodwork at school so decided it is time to take it up again. I'm going to ask for a couple of decent wood chisels, a tenon saw and marking gauge.

I want a Go Pro Session.

My existing Go Pro 2 is now a bit long in the tooth, and a session seems to do everything I need...

With my birthday looming at the end of this month, this is when the nieces, nephews, etc. ask my wife, “what shall we get Frank?”
She says, “For his birthday, vodka, preferably Grey Goose, Belvedere, Stolychnya, or Absolut, but he’ll be happy with Smirnoff, for Christmas, book tokens, no socks, boxers, handkerchiefs or sets of aftershave and toiletries, he only uses Dior Sauvage after-shave, and I get him that.”

i asked for a VR for my PS4, she said no.
i then listed a load of stuff to her.

she said to me a couple of days ago, i've got you a load of stuff but nothing on your list. 'LOL'

I am going to end up with a sack of novelty crap. Wonderful.

My dad however asked so i said slow cooker. he loves them so he knows which one to buy etc. and will also get a slow cook recipe book to. he wont stray from that and that is good.

My partner to finally book the tickets to China for Chinese New Year w/ the Little Man, so I can get some peace (extended 'me' time) for 3 weeks next year! I have some activities in mind that will require the use of 'Tor' browser and a trip to the dark 'net (and the purchase of The Orb's 'Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld').

In all (semi) seriousness, we are all healthy, and that's the main thing now that I am in my mid-40s.

Setting aside "Japanese girls with no restraint / just to choke me 'till I faint / that's all I really want this year ..", if someone was to buy my a Christmas gift, I'd like 'Paths of Glory' board-game (WWI CDG wargame). And some time to actually have the opportunity to play the bugger with a friend.

Not much really, rather the money was spent on my kids. Bottle of single malt is usually welcome though.

Agreed..! However, a nice Mk7.5 Golf R would also be very welcome.. although I don't think that it would easily fit in Santa's sleigh.. So I'll stick with a decent home sound system! biggrin

Missus and I are saving cash for work on the house at the moment, so Christmas will be a low key affair.

She’s asked for a new pair of boots (AB30 goretex army jobs to keep her feet warm when sitting outside the pub on winter nights… her German para boots are sadly getting a bit knackered).

I’m going old school: want a nice cantilever tool box to keep in my car. Facom do a decent looking one for aprox 60 quid.

Sorted.

Mrs and I set a budget of a tenner each and see who can come up with the best idea.

Everyone else doesn't bother as I'm a grown man and tell them I don't want anything.

I've no idea what I want for around the £50 mark

I'd really like a new camera..... no-one wants to blow 3.5k on me though.

I kinda fancy a VR for PS4 for GT. Means my seat and steering wheel can sit facing a corner upstairs instead of being in the middle of a room in front of a TV.

It's not cheap though, but I'm going to Florida for a fortnight at the start of December, and it's just over half price over there, so I might bring one back.

Other than that, we'll end up buying tonnes of stuff on holiday, we always do.
Once i get a VR then the next step is a seat and wheel etc. for GT and F1.

Living room is a ideal place for a gaming room isn't it..?

Enjoy Florida, I'd love to go!
